I always wanted to do something more for charity and after hearing about the initiatives and projects carried out by Asha, I decided to be part of it and contribute in whatever possible way I could.

And here I am ready to run my second Half Marathon in Oct to raise funds to bring gift of education in someone’s life for creating a foundation for a better future.

Asha (Hope) is a volunteer run non-profit that raises funds for the education of underprivileged children in India. The goal is to lift people out of poverty by empowering them through education.

Asha is a zero-overhead organization, which means that every donated dollar reaches education projects in India. Asha has a four star rating (highest possible) from Charity Navigator. This is partly because of the unique overhead policy and the fully volunteer driven, organization structure.
